Lea Gleave.

Senior Paralegal

Lea Gleave joined Bradley & Bray as a Senior Paralegal, bringing over 35 years of experience across Brisbane, Melbourne, and London. She has worked in nearly every area of law, from succession and estates to insolvency, litigation, commercial law, conveyancing, and personal injury. Lea has also assisted barristers in Brisbane, worked in public relations, served as an executive assistant for an international events company, and even owned her own art gallery.

Her journey into law began by chance, answering an ad for a junior office clerk at Carter Newell in Brisbane. She quickly progressed to Law Clerk in insolvency and debt recovery and has remained a dedicated paralegal ever since. Lea studied communications, advertising, and marketing in London and has twice enrolled in law degrees in both the UK and Australia, though family life and other commitments came first.

Lea thrives on the teamwork and flow of legal work and enjoys helping clients achieve efficient and favourable outcomes. Integrity, honesty, and transparency guide everything she does. Working in Estates is a particular passion, as she helps ease the emotional and practical burden on executors and ensures the wishes of the deceased are honoured. Every file has its challenges, but providing closure and preserving a loved one’s legacy is deeply rewarding.

Colleagues describe her as hardworking, focused, and dependable, yet fun and light-hearted. She has a natural talent for relating to people at all levels and brings warmth and professionalism to every task. Outside of work, Lea enjoys traveling, gardening, and her lifelong passion for art. When she’s not in the office, she’s running around after her family and “way too many animals” or escaping on holiday whenever she can. Her self-proclaimed superpower? Extinguishing bad karma.
